Hillfolk is a space for celebrating the diverse plant life and foodways of our region! Established in 2022 in the heart of Cumberland Gap, Hillfolk is a one-of-a-kind Appalachian Herb Shop and wholesome grocery where you will find remedies, teas, and pantry staples that support your well-being, as well as an assortment of unique gifts. They also host a First Friday evening Small Farmers Market outside their door in Festival Park from June through October!
Hillfolk is a healthy grocery and local herb store. It features organic goods that are fresh and truly nourishing to your body. These include locally grown flours, grains, produce, and spices, as well as butter, cheese, coffee, nuts, dried fruits, oils, vinegar, syrup, and more.
The shop’s goal is to help cultivate the innate way that the “hillfolk” (the mountain people in Appalachia), along with indigenous peoples, worked with herbs and had a hands-on relationship to producing food. 100% of Hillfolk’s stock is organic.
The herb shop offers bulk herbs, herbal tea, extracts, syrups, topicals, and more. All herbs & herbal products are grown & made with organic practices or sustainably foraged in pristine areas. Items are sold by the pound or ounce, which can provide significant money savings over pre-packaged goods. Visit the shop at 522 Pinnacle Alley or learn more at www.hillfolktn.com.
