Town of Cumberland Gap Unveils New Branding and Tourism Website

After a full year of planning, designing and producing, the town of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, launches new branding program and fully functional website. The new branding showcases the benefits of living and visiting Cumberland Gap, the area geographical as well as historic attributes. Additionally, the slogan “Explore Our More” invites those adventurous individuals who want to visit a charming Tennessee small town near the Kentucky-Virginia borders.

The new branding will be the official town logo, color scheme and associated graphics and will be used on all official Cumberland Gap communications materials, swag, marketing, and other areas where the logo is used to represent the town.

Among the many features, the new website will contain easy-to-follow links to town events, attraction and business pages, an easy-to-follow town map and town living section for local residents. The town’s new branding, color scheme and fresh new photography are showcased to give the viewer an accurate depiction of visiting and living in the area.

“We were able to take advantage of a series of grants from a state initiative known as Tennessee Downtowns,” explains Anthony (Tony) Maxwell, President of Guardians of the Gap, a non-profit organization that spearheaded the new marketing for the town. “Our organization is steadfast in our desire for helping rejuvenate the Cumberland Gap area for tourism, employment and overall town beauty. It’s a national treasure and though we all live in the area and get to see it every day, we want to ensure that the public gets that same opportunity. With our new marketing, our goal is to make that goal come to life.”

The marketing materials were developed through a collaborative effort between the citizens of Cumberland Gap, the Guardians of the Gap and Colloredo & Associates, a full-service marketing and advertising agency based out of Knoxville, Tennessee.

“We have to offer a debt of gratitude to Mayor Neal Pucciarelli, City Council and the residents of Cumberland Gap,” continues Maxwell. “Their flexibility, willingness to consider a drastic change and desire to help communicate all the town has to offer was instrumental in the marketing you will see this point moving forward. We all took the opportunity to meet with the entire Colloredo team on site and express who we are, who we’d like to attract and how we wanted to go about doing that. The Colloredo team was able to nail it perfectly and we look forward to a continued relationship with that firm as we grow our visibility.
