The arts are a central part of the Cumberland Gap community. Arts in the Gap (AITG) is an art program run in conjunction with Lincoln Memorial University and the town of Cumberland Gap. AITG is designed to cultivate artists, embrace Appalachian culture, and connect communities, and since its inception has involved more than 100 artists, with numerous events held in the summer months.
